The transition from high school to higher education or the workforce can be daunting. School-Connect offers the necessary tools and resources to help teachers prepare students for success far beyond their high school years and meets guidelines for College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR). We have 30+ lessons to help them go from thinking about potential careers to mapping out each step to get there.

Setting & Achieving Long-Term Career Goals

In this module, students start by looking inward to recognize character strengths, interests, and passions, and then they explore careers that fit with who they are and their future aspirations. The module concludes with students creating a 10-year plan (“Mission Map) to serve as a powerful tool to keep them moving toward their goals.

Developing Employability Skills

“How am I going to use this in real life?” If you’re tired of hearing this question, then you and your students will appreciate this module, whether they are ready to get their first job or just preparing for their future. They’ll learn and practice the basics of resume writing and interviewing. Then they’ll be challenged to consider and apply invaluable, transferable skills such as work ethic, customer service, teamwork, and responding to feedback.
